Bigger, environmentally friendly site expansion

To support our future growth ELE Advanced Technologies is expanding to a new, larger and more environmentally friendly site on the Lomeshaye Industrial Estate in Nelson, Lancashire. All of our 130 staff are expected to be working from the new 5,000 square metre factory by April, 2023. Already machinery and some employees have been transferred from our Cotton Tree Lane site in nearby Colne, in a phased approach which began earlier this year.

Chief executive Manesh Pandya said: “Our business has experienced exceptional growth over recent years, particularly within the aerospace sector. “This significant £2million investment is being made to relocate our operations into a bigger site, with improved material flow. The new site will enable us to be positioned for further growth in the future.”

As a company we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and Photovoltaic panels have been installed at the new factory to generate 20% of the energy required – all of it clean energy. Plus electric vehicle charging points for employees and a streamlined waste management system will be installed. Manesh added: “It’s important to us to be a responsible business and our journey to Carbon Net Zero will be accelerated to moving to our new improved, efficient and sustainable site.”
